What a field sales app needs to do
Field reps have simple requirements. They need to know where to go, how to get there, and a fast way to record what happened. Any field sales app worth installing should cover five core functions:
- See accounts on a map. Reps need a visual view of their territory. Pins on a map, color-coded by status or priority, with the ability to filter and search. If a meeting cancels, the rep should be able to spot nearby accounts in seconds.
- Plan and optimize routes. Compare the time spent sequencing stops manually with the route workflow during the trial.
- Log visits and check-ins. Use a GPS-assisted proximity check, check-out, notes, outcomes, and next steps. The result should be quick to record between stops.
- Access CRM data in the field. Contact history, deal stage, last interaction, open tasks. Reps should not have to call the office to look up an account. The app either connects to your CRM or acts as one.
- Report back to managers. Activity dashboards, visit counts, territory coverage. Managers need visibility without asking reps to fill out spreadsheets at the end of the day.
No product covers these jobs in the same way. Some are separate field-sales platforms with CRM sync. Others use the records and permissions already configured in Salesforce.
6 field sales apps compared
Badger Maps
Badger Maps is a separate field-sales mapping and routing app with CRM integrations. Public pricing checked 21 July 2026 lists Business at $58/user/month and Enterprise at $95/user/month on annual billing. Confirm the integration scope and pilot terms with the vendor.
Choose it when reps want a dedicated route-planning app and the team accepts a separate interface and CRM sync.
SPOTIO
SPOTIO is a separate platform for outside-sales and door-to-door teams. Its current pricing page asks buyers to discuss requirements, integrations, training, and implementation with sales rather than publishing a fixed seat price.
Choose it when lead management, territory work, and rep activity tracking are central to the field process.
Map My Customers
Map My Customers combines mapping, routing, and account management in a separate mobile app, with CRM integrations. Public pricing checked 21 July 2026 lists the individual plan at $55/month on annual billing and the team plan at $79/month.
Choose it when the team wants a visual field-sales workspace rather than a component inside its existing CRM.
Repsly (custom pricing)
Repsly is focused on retail execution and merchandising rather than traditional B2B field sales. It is built for CPG brands and retail service providers who need shelf audits, planogram compliance, photo capture, and in-store data collection. The mobile app includes GPS check-ins, barcode scanning, and customizable forms.
Repsly does not publish pricing. You need to contact their sales team for a quote. There is no free trial, but they offer proof-of-concept evaluations during the sales process. AI-powered image recognition for shelf audits is available as an add-on.
This is the specialist option in the list for CPG, merchandising, and retail-execution teams.
SalesRabbit
SalesRabbit focuses on door-to-door and canvassing teams. The vendor offers a free Lite version for a single user, while paid team plans and add-ons have separate commercial terms.
Choose it when the sales motion starts at the doorstep and needs territory, lead, and canvassing tools.
Tourvia (EUR 30 per licensed user per month)
Tourvia is delivered as a Salesforce managed package and works in Salesforce Mobile. Reps use their Salesforce records for accounts, contacts, opportunities, route planning, and visit logging. Route calculations process the coordinates and timing constraints described in the DPA.
Features include GPS-assisted proximity checks, nearby account discovery, multi-stop route optimization, and Salesforce Event creation. A complete 30-day trial is available on request. The subscription costs EUR 30/user/month excluding tax, billed annually.
Choose it when Salesforce is already the working interface and the team wants routes, Events, mobile visits, and reports tied to those records.

Separate app or Salesforce managed package
This choice changes the rep experience, data flow, administration, and support boundary.
Standalone apps such as Badger Maps, SPOTIO, Map My Customers, and SalesRabbit have their own interface and data model. Their CRM integrations add a separate data flow that the buyer should test and document.
CRM managed packages such as Tourvia use Salesforce records, Events, permissions, and mobile navigation. Tourvia also processes the minimum routing inputs described in its DPA. It only fits teams already running on Salesforce.
If Salesforce is the system of record and reps already use Salesforce Mobile, a managed package keeps more of the workflow in that interface. Teams on HubSpot, Zoho, or no CRM should evaluate standalone products instead.
When Tourvia fits
Tourvia is not for everyone. It is specifically for teams that meet three conditions:
- You are already on Salesforce. Tourvia is a Salesforce-native app. No Salesforce, no Tourvia.
- Your reps use the Salesforce Mobile App. Tourvia runs inside it. If your reps refuse to open Salesforce on their phones, this is not the right tool.
- You want fewer apps, not more. The value of Tourvia is that it adds route planning, GPS check-in, and nearby accounts without adding another app to download, another login to manage, or another data sync to monitor.
If those three things are true, Tourvia gives you route optimization, visit tracking, and territory visibility through a standard EUR 30/user/month pricing model per licensed user. Teams can start from the 30-day trial request before moving to the subscription.
If you are not on Salesforce, look at Badger Maps for general field sales, SPOTIO for door-to-door, or Map My Customers if you want a visual CRM built for the field.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best field sales app for mobile reps?
Start with the operating model. Badger Maps is a standalone field-sales route planner, SPOTIO focuses on outside and door-to-door sales, Map My Customers combines mapping with a visual CRM, and Tourvia runs as a managed package for Salesforce teams.
Do field sales apps work offline?
Offline behaviour varies by app, feature, and device. Test route access, record updates, check-in, attachments, and conflict handling without a connection. Tourvia relies on the Salesforce Mobile offline configuration for the relevant records and workflows.
How much does a field sales app cost per user?
Some vendors publish per-user plans and others require a quote. Compare the latest price, minimum user count, billing term, implementation, and included features. Tourvia costs EUR 30 excluding tax per licensed user per month, billed annually.
